- 2 large apples peeled and cored
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts 2 crusts
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup butter cut into small pieces
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Peel and core the apples. Cut each apple into 8 wedges.
Roll out the pie crusts and cut each into 8 triangles.
Wrap each apple wedge in a pie crust triangle and place in a baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the wrapped apples.
Dot the butter pieces over the apples.
In a saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil, then pour over the apples.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
