Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Beef short ribs
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Red wine
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. 2. Season the beef short ribs with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. 5. Stir in the tomato paste, then add the red wine. Let it simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. 6. Add the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Return the short ribs to the pot, cover, and transfer to the preheated oven.
  7. 7. Cook for about 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
  8. 8. Remove the ribs from the pot and skim off any excess fat from the sauce. Serve the ribs with the sauce.
