Main Ingredients
- 2 cups Blueberries fresh or frozen
- ½ cup Sugar
- ½ cup Water
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch optional, for thickening
In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until blueberries break down.
Stir in lemon juice and optional cornstarch if using. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer if you prefer a smooth syrup.
Let cool slightly before serving. Store in the refrigerator.
