Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Blueberries fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch optional, for thickening

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until blueberries break down.
  4. Stir in lemon juice and optional cornstarch if using. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer if you prefer a smooth syrup.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Store in the refrigerator.
