Ingredients 

Filling

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 12 tart shells store-bought or homemade

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Add the beaten egg to the mixture and whisk until well combined.
  4. Place the tart shells on a baking sheet. Divide the filling evenly among the shells.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the filling is set and the pastry is golden brown.
  6. Allow the tarts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
