Sweet and tender yams coated in a buttery brown sugar glaze.

Main Ingredients
- 4 large yams peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cup butter
- 0.25 cup water
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place yams in a baking dish.
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt. Cook over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is smooth.
Pour mixture over yams and toss to coat.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until yams are tender and caramelized.
