Instructions
In a large pot, combine water, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Bring to a boil.
Add lemon juice and sliced apples. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Pack the hot mixture into sterilized canning jars, leaving ½ inch headspace.
Process jars in a boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
Let jars cool and check seals before storing.
