Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup unsalted butter 1 stick
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Place popcorn in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Spread popcorn on a baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
