Brownie Batter
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
Cheesecake Swirl
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife to swirl the mixtures together.
Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
