  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Boiling water
  • 1 cup Cherries pitted and chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth. Fold in the chopped cherries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
