  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  3. 3. Dip the squash slices into the buttermilk mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
