- 1 loaf bread cubed
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ cup butter melted
- ½ cup brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Place bread cubes in the baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Pour egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar.
Pour butter mixture over the top of the casserole.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and set.
