Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the batter just until blended.
Fold in the apples and spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
