Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 Apples, peeled and sliced

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the batter just until blended.
  5. Fold in the apples and spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
