Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon Ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground cloves
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup Brown sugar packed
  • 1 large Egg
  • ½ cup Molasses
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg, molasses, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until combined.
  5. Roll dough into balls and place on baking sheet. Flatten slightly.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.
