Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Yogurt
  • 3 tablespoon Gram flour (Besan)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Green chili paste
  • to taste Salt

Tempering Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 2 Dried red chilies
  • 8-10 Curry leaves

Instructions 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, gram flour, water, ginger paste, green chili paste, and salt until smooth.
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, dried red chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until aromatic.
  3. Pour the yogurt mixture into the saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve hot with rice or roti.
