Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice rinsed
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables chopped (carrots, peas, beans)
  • 1 large Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 inch Ginger minced
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 3 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
  4. 4. Add mixed vegetables and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Add turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  6. 6. Add rinsed basmati rice and water. Stir to combine.
  7. 7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  8. 8. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
