Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • to taste salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Slice potatoes thinly using a mandoline slicer.
  2. 2. Soak slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. 4. Pat potato slices dry with paper towels.
  5. 5. Fry potato slices in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  6. 6. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
