Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked pinto beans
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Water or vegetable broth

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ground cumin, cook for another minute.
  4. Add the cooked pinto beans and mash with a wooden spoon.
  5. Stir in the water or vegetable broth and salt. Cook until the beans are heated through and reach your desired consistency.
