Salmon Cakes Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked salmon flaked
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup green onions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chopped green onions, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove the salmon cakes from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  5. Serve the salmon cakes hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a squeeze of lemon.
