- 1 lb dried Northern white beans rinsed and sorted
- 6 cups water
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
1. Place the beans in the slow cooker.
2. Add water, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf.
3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beans are tender.
4. Remove bay leaf before serving.
