  • 1 lb chicken livers cleaned and trimmed
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Soak chicken livers in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Dredge livers in the flour mixture, coating well.
  5. 5. Fry livers in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. 6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
